Aaron,

Thanks for the comment. I think we can work toward small and possible wins - like HSAs - and also advocate for the free-market reforms. First, it would be great if we even had some semblance of a free market, even if we kept the government programs. Currently, they're too intertwined. HSAs would at least help get people used to saving for their health and thinking of it as a value worth investing in again.

Well said. I'd love to see many other more drastic free-market reforms of health care - but HSAs are at least an existing measure in the right direction, have some potential for low-hanging fruit, and tweaking them in the ways you mention may (hopefully) be in the Overton window.
